Not financial advice. Read this before you buy, sell, bridge or launch.
- Memecoins are volatile and most go to zero. Only use money you can afford to lose.
- Smart contracts can have bugs. Tests and audits are not a guarantee.
- Bridging depends on LayerZero and four of six independent verifiers. If three or more stop serving a route for good, transfers on it cannot complete. On Base and Robinhood Chain verifiers wait about a minute; a sequencer rewriting blocks after that could create unbacked coins.
- Selling depends on each chain's buyers: a chain pays sellers only from what buyers deposited there. The rest of your coins stay in your wallet; sell them elsewhere or bridge them.
- Platform keys can pause new coins, change the launch fee within published limits and, with 48 hours of notice, change the treasury, the fee limits, the price feed and the relayers. None of them can touch launched coins. Today these powers sit with one Same Moon key.
- Chain operators: Base and Robinhood Chain can be upgraded by their multisigs without delay, Robinhood Chain's operator can block transactions, and Circle can blocklist addresses on Arc and freeze trading and fee claims there.
- Bots may buy in a chain's first block; a pre-set pool can make a chain open up to 4.08% dearer or delay its opening.
- The other chains depend on our relayer, or on someone paying the launch fee while it is down.
- Other liquidity providers and DEX protocol fees reduce creator and treasury income.
- Monad keeps 10 MON in every account.
- Same Moon does not vet coins. Anyone can launch any name.
